ANCHOR Gamma Xi Fall 2013 Gamma Xi Chapter of Delta Gamma at Texas Tech University - Spring 2016 On April 2, the Gamma Xi sisters gathered in celebration as we raised the sails on our new home at #5 Greek Circle. The new lodge is truly spectacular! More than 100 Delta Gamma members, alumnae, and donors attended the ribbon cutting celebration, including five of the founding Gamma Xi sisters. Robert L. Duncan, Texas Tech University System chancellor, attended the ceremony and emphasized the strength of Delta Gamma's presence on the Tech campus. Duncan remarked, "Delta Gamma is currently the largest sorority at Tech and this reflects well on the qualities of the sorority and its members!" Duncan's statement was followed by an uproar of cheers and clapping as we stood in unifying strength with DG's past and present, remembering how far we have come and how much we have grown. Generations of Gamma Xi Sisters Gather at Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Completed Lodge Many hands helped build our new home, from the architectural renderings to the final light placed in the socket, but none of it would have been possible without the many donations of supportive alumnae to the Building on a Tradition of Excellence campaign. Because of your faith in our vision, you made it possible for Delta Gamma to be a leader in the Greek community with facilities that provide our sisters with state- of-the-art living and educational opportunities for many years to come. Even though we have hoisted the sails, we still have ropes to tighten. Our sisters span the globe, but the Gamma Xi lodge will always be our Delta Gamma home. This home is where we learned together, shared memories together, and made lasting friendships together. With the completion of our new Gamma Xi lodge, it will continue to be an inspiring and special place for future generations of Delta Gammas. If you have yet to support this campaign through giving, I challenge you to participate in this opportunity to give back to Gamma Xi and support its extraordinary legacy as we continue to strengthen the anchor placed since our founding. Now is the chance to become a part of this special time in Gamma Xi history. Please join the more than 280 sisters in supporting Delta Gamma with a gift of any size. We especially encourage you to combine your resources as a class or group, in order to make a larger impact on the campaign. Delta Gamma is a sisterhood for a lifetime— this is a way we can give back. When you walk through the lodge, know that the project could not have been done without the support of our donors. Your generosity ensures that DG has a sound future at Texas Tech. Thank you!
