Alpha Xi Delta 214 N Plum Rd Vermillion, SD 57069 Dear Epsilon Alumnae: My sincerest congratulations to the Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta House Corporation Board on the decision to rebuild your chapter house at 214 North Plum Street. The administration of the University of South Dakota has appreciated the leadership your undergraduates have provided the University of South Dakota for over 113 years. Since it's founding in June 1903, Alpha Xi Delta has added to the rich tradition of USD and its Greek community. Your alumnae have gone on to key positions in business, professional, medical, political and academia throughout the state and nation. The fraternity and sorority community is alive and well at the University of South Dakota. The Greek community continues to grow and flourish. Many fraternities and sororities are planning and carrying out renovations to improve the features of their chapter facilities. Obviously, these projects can only happen with alumnae support. Your decision to provide first-rate study and living accommodations with an outstanding social environment will enhance the overall university experience for your undergraduate members. Fraternity and sorority members remain loyal to their university. A high proportion of leadership within the South Dakota Alumni Association and the University of South Dakota Foundation are fraternity and sorority alumni. University administrators and faculty also realize that the fraternity and sorority experience fosters involvement and loyalty to our institution. A strong university depends on dedicated undergraduates and supportive alumni. Alpha Xi Delta Epsilon Chapter set the standard in 1903 as the first formal Greek letter sorority in the state of South Dakota. Your chapter has played an important role in the history of USD and your members have contributed to South Dakota's strength for over 113 years. Your support for this important building project will help ensure Epsilon continues to thrive on the USD campus for the next 100 years. Best wishes on your campaign. Sincerely, James W.
