The Next Century N ow is the time for Epsilon to make the long-needed decision to rebuild the chapter house. The Epsilon House Corporation and undergraduate lead- ership have developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Alpha Xi experience at USD. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that rebuilding the A Xi house is necessary. Working with JLG Architecture and Feigen Construction, the house corpo- ration has developed a strategic approach to this rebuild. Goals of the Rebuild 1. Provide a premier living-learning environment for our members that will set Alpha Xi Delta apart from the other sorority houses 2. Tear down our 80-year-old facility and build a state-of-the-art facility that will meet the needs of Alpha Xis for decades to come 3. Expand meeting, study, and common space to accommodate our growing membership Project Highlights 1. Increase capacity to 59 women 2. Chapter and dining space for up to 150 women 3. Large kitchen and prep area, modern appliances, and commercial dishwasher 4. Housemother suite 5. Smaller kitchenette for night and weekend use 6. Increased closet and storage space 7. Fraternity heritage space for 113 years of scrapbooks and awards 8. Wired for technology 9. Updated and expanded laundry facilities 10. Increased common space for live-out members Basement First Floor
