Arizona Western College • https://www.azwestern.edu The La Paz County School Super- intendent, Jacque Price, is making public notice of the opportunity for residents of Quartzsite Elemen- tary School District #4 to apply to serve as a member of the Govern- ing Board. Effective April 4, 2016, there is a board seat available for appointment. The board appoint- ment is for a term that ends on December 31, 2016. If the appoin- tee for this position wants to stand for reelection at the next regularly scheduled election, the position will appear on the General Elec- tion Ballot in November, 2016, as a regular two year term, up for re- election in November 2018. The District is governed by a fi ve-person board. Quartzsite Board members attend one regu- larly scheduled Board meeting per month (Monday evenings) during the year and other meetings or events, as needed. Glad to leave the rain in Seattle -- after six years, now I love the rain, especially the thunder storms: the fl ash of lightening, the boom of thunder, the torrential downpour, the fresh smell of the air afterwards. Nature is reminding us of her power just in case we think we're in control.
