The Lion's Roar
Indiana Sigma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon • Indiana State University
SPRING 2016
Indiana Sigma Welcomes New
Chapter Advisor Stacey Gentry '89
D
uring the fall 2015 semester, we said
"Thank you" and bid a fond farewell to
former Chapter Advisor John Webb '91, and I
was welcomed as the new Chapter advisor. I am
thrilled for the opportunity to work with the active
Chapter members and build on John's diligent
efforts to continue the legacy and success of the
Indiana Sigma Chapter. We have a remarkable
group of young men taking the reigns at Sigma
Alpha Epsilon, and we hope to make the spring
2016 semester the best semester yet.
ALUMNI SUPPORT STILL NEEDED
FOR NEW CHAPTER HOUSE
If you have yet to make a donation toward
paying off our Chapter house, it's not too late!
Donations can be made online by visiting www.
sae.net/donate and designating your gift as
Indiana Sigma CAF. We have until August of
this year to raise $198,000 toward our goal of
$400,000. We are thankful for those alumni who
have graciously completed their pledges, but we
ask that any outstanding pledges be caught up
as soon as possible. Any help you can offer in
support of the Indiana Sigma will help ensure a
brighter future for our Chapter and brotherhood.
SAVE THE DATE FOR SAE
EVENTS IN 2016
Mark your calendar for upcoming
Indiana Sigma events, including an
afternoon with the undergraduate
members at the Chapter house
during Spring Week, following
the ISU Tandem Race on April
16, during an undergraduate and
alumni golf outing in August, and at
Homecoming 2016 on October 1. Anyone
who is interested in being involved in any of these
events, please contact me at gentrystacey66@
hotmail.com or Alumni Relations Chairman
Cody Logsdon '17 at codylogsdon@rocketmail.
com. Stay tuned for more details about these
events.
In addition to volunteers for our upcoming events
this year, we are also looking for volunteers to
work with our alumni board. As an alumnus,
your input is greatly valued and any assistance
you can offer will be greatly appreciated by
the alumni board as well as the undergraduate
members. Our Chapter's continued success
would not be possible without our
supportive and generous alumni who
afford our undergraduate members
with life-changing experiences. I
encourage any alumni in the area to
stop by the Chapter house to meet
the undergraduate members who
continue to bring honor to the Indiana
Sigma Chapter. We hold Chapter every
Sunday at 7 p.m., and alumni attendance
is always a wonderful honor. Your continued
support of Indiana Sigma enhances the lives
of our undergraduate members and ensures our
legacy continues for years to come.
Be a hero, not a zero.
Phi Alpha,
Stacey Gentry '89, Chapter Advisor
