T
he board would like to thank everyone who came out
to Homecoming 2015, and a special thanks to all of
our alumni who worked to make the hog roast and
tailgate another huge success. A great time was had by all
and we are looking forward to seeing everyone for the spring
basketball game in February and the spring football game
in April. We have already blocked off rooms for the
basketball game and are working to block tickets
off for the game as well. More details will be
sent out as everything is finalized.
As you all have heard, the chapter continues
to do remarkable things at the University of
Missouri. The chapter helped raise more than
45,000 pounds of food from Watermelon Fest
to benefit Feeding America. They continue to
be strong in athletics, taking first in both football
and volleyball. They had a great showing at Home-
coming last fall and continue to set the bar high for grades,
as the chapter recently increased the required GPA for mem-
bers. We are also very proud of all of our members who
returned this January from service trips from all over the
country as part of the Mizzou Alternative Breaks program.
The housing board continues to remain strong. Our recent ad-
dition of Steve Nollau '72 has been great and he has brought
more insight to the board. Congratulations go out to our
young alumni member, John Bowen '09. He recently passed
his boards and is now working at Hall, Render, Killian, Heath
and Lyman law firm in Illinois. I got engaged in November
and have been planning a wedding for the end of July.
As we continue to increase our communication with all
alumni we want to remind everyone that if you do not re-
ceive our electronic updates to please update your e-mail
address on the alumni page of our website. Just go to www.
mulambdachi.com and select alumni and then update con-
tact information. We like to send out electronic updates on
upcoming events and recent chapter accomplish-
ments. Please make sure to get your information
updated.
If you have any suggestions for our next
newsletter article, or special announcements
to include, please feel free to contact me or
Steve Oslica '06 with those suggestions.
The board would like to thank all alumni
who have stepped up to help Gamma Kappa
and we continue to encourage everyone who can
to get involved with the chapter in some capacity.
If you can help, please reach out to me at banwander@
gmail.com, Alumni Association President Steve Oslica
'06 at steve.oslica@gmail.com, or Chapter Advisor Matt
VanRonzelen '03 at mattvanron@yahoo.com.
Thank you for your continued interest in Gamma Kappa.
With everyone's help we can continue to grow the seeds that
have been planted. I look forward to our continued progress
as Gamma Kappa brothers.
Fraternally Yours in ZAX,
Brett Anwander '05
