Red Bluff Daily News Family carnival returns Wednesday, April 18, 2012 By ANDREAWAGNER DN Staff Writer Besides the rodeo, Round-Up guests may also enjoy a colorful, chugging and churning children's carnival for rodeo weekend. The carnival will shut down traffic on Pine Street between Main and Washington streets between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 10 p.m. Sunday. More than a dozen booths planned include games, a fun house, a super slide, a spin ride, "Pirate's Revenge," a "Wild Raft," "Frog Hopper," "Kids Kopter," a food trailer and others. After the 2011 carnival was can- celed, committee members lined up a new carnival operation that special- izes in small street "kiddie" carni- vals, said Round-Up board member Corky Kramer at a recent City Coun- cil meeting. Classic Amusement of Hayward operates several other similar carni- vals in the San Francisco area, Kramer said. time Thursday, with hours of opera- tion from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available in advance at the Red Bluff Chamber of Commerce office, 100 Main St., or at the carnival. Those who purchase advance tickets can buy 27 tickets for $18 at the chamber.
