Dedicated to the Future of Alpha Iota PJ Weber '95 Thankful for a Lifetime of Brotherhood and Support B eing in a fraternity provides various opportunities for individuals, but for PJ Weber '95, joining Alpha Iota was one of the biggest life-changing experiences he has had. Not only did PJ gain lifelong friends he is proud to call his brothers, but he also gained valuable lessons and skills that have been a driving force in his personal and professional endeavors. "Alpha Iota enabled me to succeed professionally, socially, and financially, and the chapter has played a significant role in who I am today. It is my hope that every person who joins the chapter will be provided the same opportunities to succeed in life and will take away countless memories as I did. I owe the wonderful life I live to Alpha Iota." The unmatched camaraderie and support that PJ developed in Alpha Iota encouraged him to pursue leadership within the chapter. Having served as Sage, Second Counselor, and Pledge Trainer in Alpha Iota, PJ gained remarkable leadership experience that helped him build important connections and benefited him as he pursued professional opportunities. One brother in particular, John Flake '92, paved the way for PJ's professional experience by helping him land a full-time job as a co-op student on the Gulf Coast. "John served as the backbone of my academic and professional achievements during my undergraduate career. Without his support and encouragement, I would not have had the opportunity to graduate and pursue a career in the chemical industry." Erik Stockglausner '91, Mike Munsell '93, and Jeremy McCoy Sr. '92 also significantly shaped PJ's undergraduate experience in the chapter. As an alumnus, PJ maintains strong connections with brothers like Larry Cook '94, Brian Kratz '97, Mike King '93, Dan Dearmond '93, Jeff Aubuchon '98, Ramon Miraflores '97, Kurt Steinmann '97, Mark Zerr '99, Ted Martin '95, Jeff Ostermann '96, Dave Dicks '93, Jason Dohrmann '99, Jeff Tottleben '92, Dave Farnam '92, Scott Davidson '96, and several others through attending the annual Alpha Iota Sigma Pi Cardinal baseball trip, annual college football club meetings and events, and Christmas cards. PJ is blessed to have Jeremy McCoy as his brother-in-law and to work with Ramon Miraflores at Albemarle Corporation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "What I love most about my Alpha Iota brothers is that they have been there for me through thick and thin. The bonds we created with one another were not only for college, they are for life." PJ encourages alumni to reconnect and become more involved in the chapter's events and leadership opportunities. "The future of Alpha Iota is dependent on the social and financial commitment of alumni, and our chapter would not be what it is today without their tireless support. It is my hope that alumni will take time to give back to the chapter that gave them so much and further Alpha Iota's success." As the senior director of Engineering at Albemarle Corporation, PJ is responsible for the effective investment of the global capital plan, as well as the technical correctness of the designs. When he is not hard at work, you will likely find PJ fishing and spending time with his family. PJ is married to his wife of 18 years, Anne, whom he met through Ramon. PJ and Anne have two children, Lillie (9) and Lauren (6). You can contact PJ at pjweber24@hotmail.com.
