He began his mortgage career in 1986 at GMAC mortgage in La Jolla, and worked as a mortgage adviser/consultant since 1988. His interests include all outdoor sports and photography. For more than a decade Lawrence has taught skiing at Alpine Northstar Resort on the weekends. San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce is grateful that Lawrence has volunteered as an Ambassador, as well as for Chamber & Town events and as our official photographer memorializing activities for the Chamber and community. He has been a member for more than 15 years and is single, living in San Anselmo! Denise Montalvo Realtor, Tam Realty MLO #01780793 (415) 640-1850 • denise@tamrealty.com As an Ambassador for the San Anselmo Chamber I simply think it's one of the best ways to give back to our community. I want to participate in helping promote all that San Anselmo has to offer and can achieve this by giving back to the community as a Chamber member and volunteer. Also, very importantly, is my position as an agent at Tam Realty, which provides a unique human connection. Tam Realty is located in downtown San Anselmo. I grew up in San Francisco and never imagined leaving my favorite city. I received my BA degree in graphic design and worked for various ad agencies and publishers. I also did a six-year stint with United Airlines, where I could hop on a plane and spend a weekend in Hawaii. I was able to travel to several countries and experience various cultures. is experience was valuable to my understanding how diverse people and lifestyles can be, and it afforded me an even greater appreciation of where I came from. is was BC (before children). In 1990, I moved to West Marin because I had an opportunity to raise two sons there. I co-created Visual Pursuit, a photo and design business. I have written magazine articles for publications like Outdoor Photographer and have been a freelance writer for the Pacific Sun. I also managed several rental properties while juggling soccer schedules and the demands of family life. As my children got older and less dependent, I got excited by the prospect of selling real estate and became a Realtor. To me, helping buyers is like matchmaking. e goal is to have a happy pairing. With sellers, I like to assure them that I'm there to make things go smoothly, to alleviate stress and to get them the best price for their homes. I moved to San Anselmo in 2010 and it's the best place I've ever lived. As a runner and hiker, I take advantage of the weather and the beautiful trails all over the county. I often snap pictures along the way. I became an Ambassador for the San Anselmo Chamber in 2014 and work to promote local businesses by setting up mixers and participating in several community events each year. I believe that a real estate transaction should be win-win, that Realtors should work together to get the job done so that all parties are happy with the outcome. It is easy to sell real estate in Marin because it's such an incredible place to live and work.
