Is everyone keeping warm? After the long, hot summer many of us love the cool change. Talking about change, ahem, everything is "a-buzz" now. Events are filling up our calendars from the RV Parks and organizations. The new Quartzsite Area Cham- ber of Commerce & Tourism (QACC&T) is open at 1240 West Main Street to help everyone. There's a wonderful group of kids who started a Town Hall sponsored Youth Council in addition to our other groups like the Boy Scouts and the 4-H Club. Be looking for their events as well. Our season is expanding with large events going on through March. You'll be hearing a lot about the Rock Fiesta coming March 17-18-19 at Desert Gar- dens Showgrounds at which the Quartzsite Rotary will benefit. Plus there are other large events at the Main Street Showgrounds. Rotary Doings Don't forget about the La Paz County "Passport". Please go to the new Chamber (across from McDonalds) and find out all that is happening. Don't forget the Christ- mas Light Parade on Dec. 12th . We hear Santa Claus may stop by…Lots to see, lots to do! This is a good time also to remind our visiting Rotarians since you are away from your home clubs, please come to our meetings. We'd like to meet you. Our meetings are still the first (1st) and third (3rd) Wednesdays every month. From December through February, we meet at 5:30 PM at our Arizona Western College & Learning Center at Kofa & West Quail Trail for a light dinner. We would appreciate your letting us know you're coming so we can have enough food for everyone. From March through November, we meet at 12:30 PM at the Stage- coach Restaurant's Backroom for a lunch meeting. Our meetings last no longer than 1.5 hours. So come and join us. Let us know you're coming at: 928-927-6111. Bouse Genealogical Society • Birth • Obituary • Anniversary Place it FREE in the: Desert Messenger! 928-916-4235 Got something to share?
