GOLD SHOW Feb. 12-14 2016 Quartzsite Licensed Business THE TRADERS MARKET is a rather new and yet an old concept. It is "new" because for the past three seasons vendors asked for spaces to sell products during the Rock, Gem and Mineral Show. Unfortunately, the event is specifically rocks, gems and minerals related. Sadly, I could not accommodate the request. The concept is "old" because several decades ago people would line the streets and vacant lots to sell their product from their car or pick-up truck, while others placed the merchandise on tables or on the ground. I have been told "It was fantastic!" Hence, there is now a TRADERS MARKET at Desert Gardens - just off W. Kuehn Road and east of the ADOT Maintenance Area entrance. _____________________________________________ ONLY 50 SPACES AVAILABLE. Set up by 9:00 am Friday and sell through 5:00 pm Sunday! Three days cost $55 for a 15 x 20 space (approx.) (No electric or other hook-ups.) Rocks, Gems, Minerals or Related Items Prohibited _____________________________________________ For Information and Reservations Contact: Dennis E. With all the winter visitors coming to town we are seeing new faces shopping at the Thrift Store. We are also getting more donations so we have lots of new items in store. We were able to donate to Quartzsite Amateur Radio Asso- ciation. They are helping young people interested in Amateur radio and have classes at local schools. Quartzsite will be one of them. They learn Amateur Radio Com- munications and will be able to take a test to be a licensed Ama- teur Radio Operator. We also donated to Denim N Dust, the Quartzsite 4-H Club. The kids have rabbits, chickens, turkeys, goats, and garden produce for some of their 4 -H projects. Come shop at our Thrift Store. We always need donations. The money the Thrift Store donates stays right in Quartzsite Com- munity. Visit us behind Silly Al's Pizza. The Quartzsite Art Guild, in con- junction with the Southwestern Round Up Art Show, will be intro- ducing the merge of the two shows with a two day event held January 8-9, 2016 at the Quartzsite Senior Center on Moon Mountain Ave. Quartzsite. The Arizona Department of Trans- portation (ADOT) is scheduled to begin a project to install wayfind- ing signs to the Town of Quartz- site's historic Hi Jolly monument located on the west side of town. The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, (Nov. 16). Crews are scheduled to work in Quartzsite along Main Street (B- 10) and Central Boulevard (US 95/ SR 95) weekdays between 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Minimal traffic impacts are anticipated. The $460,000 project will direct Quartzsite visitors to the final rest- ing location of the famed camel driver who helped shape American history in the 1850s. The project is anticipated to be completed in early 2016.
