Eleven Eleven Report Gamma Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta university of kansas n fall 2015 S ix months ago, three alumni from Gamma Tau, as well four Brothers from other Delta Tau Delta chapters from around the country, met individually with each member of Gamma Tau Chapter as part of a membership review, which was result of the self-reported hazing incidents that happened in fall 2014 by several Gamma Tau members. It is important to note that while these interviews were serious in nature, Delta Tau Delta Chief Operating Officer Jack Kreman, University of Nebraska at Kearney '04 stressed that he is impressed with the house leadership and the future is bright for Delta Tau Delta at KU. As the leaders of this campaign, and as your Fraternity Brothers, we feel it is important to keep you, our loyal alumni, informed about Gamma Tau. Through the interview process that took place earlier this year, several Brothers were identified as those responsible for the hazing behavior and were recommended for expulsion. Several additional members were recommended for expulsion due to their alleged involvement with illegal substances. The Arch Chapter of Delta Tau Delta, which is the governing body of the Fraternity, heard and acted on those requests before the start of the 2015-16 school year. When we started the Gamma Tau: The Next 100 Years campaign, we sought to build a brighter future for Delta Tau Delta at the University of Kansas. While we have had this setback, we are choosing to say "YES!" to our undergraduate members. We are choosing to say "YES!" to them and let them know that we will support them through thick and thin because that is what Brotherhood is all about. We will hold our heads high and continue to look toward building that brighter future; building on that tradition of excellence that we know Gamma Tau is made of. The fall semester is well underway. Our undergraduate members had a successful formal recruitment, and we're excited to welcome 22 new Brothers into Gamma Tau Chapter. Our total chapter membership is now at 79, which is outstanding and on par with other fraternities on campus. This fall, Brothers enjoyed KU football tailgates, events with sororities on campus, and are looking forward to another great season of Jayhawk basketball. We are excited about the next chapter for Gamma Tau, and hope you are as well. We need you to say "YES!" to Gamma Tau to make our dreams a reality and to help us reach our $1.1 million goal as quickly as possible. We are thankful for the 83 alumni who have already donated more than $1 million to the campaign, but it is important we have broader support from the 791 alumni that have yet to donate to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We need those Brothers to say "YES!" to Gamma Tau! So, will you join us? Will you say "YES!" to our Brothers? Will you say "YES!" to our chapter? Will you say "YES!" to building a bigger and brighter future for Gamma Tau? Say "YES!" and fill out the enclosed pledge card today! As the campaign continues, Gamma Tau is excited for the next phase of renovations.
