Last fall, we continued to grow our brotherhood with the addition of 22 new members who completed their journey to become knights of the Legion of Honor. Last spring, we decided to take a smaller class of 14 new members in order to maintain a total Chapter size that was large, yet manageable. Even with the smaller pledge class, we boosted our Chapter roster to over 120 brothers. This is well above the USC average of 90 members, and was enough to earn us the Sigma Nu national manpower award for the third consecutive year. Because of our brothers from all over the country and the world, we were also awarded the IFC diversity programming award. Members Take Academics by Storm Each semester after recruitment, we continue our success by focusing on areas that the executive council believes essential in the general improvement of individual members of the Chapter, as well as the Chapter as a whole. Academically, over 40 brothers achieved at least a 3.5 GPA, earning them spots on the Dean's List in both the fall and spring semesters. Our scholarship chairman is currently working with Holding Corporation to create merit-based scholarships for our best academic performers. Epsilon Omicron Donates $7,500 to Local Organizations In regard to philanthropy efforts, we have raised and donated over $7,500 to various organizations including Sigma Nu National Helping Hand initiative partners and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. We have also volunteered in events such as USC's first annual wheelchair basketball tournament to raise disability accessibility awareness on campus, USC IFC's We Care initiative against sexual assault benefitting Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, and came out victorious at the annual USC Songfest competition, which raises over $40,000 for USC's Troy camp. Chapter Secures First-Place in Philanthropic Events and Intramurals We participated in nine sorority philanthropic competitions, and came out on top in both Kappa Alpha Theta's Kats at Bat whiffle ball tournament and in Alpha Delta Pi's Row Cup soccer tournament. Our athletic endeavors did not stop there, as we also earned the title to intramural volleyball last spring. I am extremely proud of what our brothers have accomplished, and I am excited to see what this 2015-16 academic year has in store. If you have any questions about our Chapter, please do not hesitate to contact me. We appreciate the love and support we receive from our alumni, and we wish the best for you and your families. Happy football season, and, as always, Teneo and Fight On!
