T h e D e l T a C h i e D u C a T i o n a l F o u n D a T i o n The KnighT erranT Advancing Delta Chi for the Next 125 Years D elta Chi's 125th year is now underway. Allow me to reminisce a bit, as I look back to my initiation on the eve of Delta Chi's centennial anniversary in 1990. Those 25 years have flown by. Fortunately, Delta Chi has been by my side throughout. I've been fortunate to have had great mentors and friends throughout that quarter of a century. Many of them were and are Delta Chis. You may have heard me say that, when done right, nothing has more capability to prepare a young man for life beyond his time in college than this thing we call fraternity. Looking back at your time as an alumnus, I'm sure that you can list a large number of times where your Delta Chi undergraduate experience prepared you for an opportunity or challenge. While so many things have changed, those parallels have not. Delta Chi's undergraduate ranks have grown by nearly 45% in the past five years. And with that growth comes tremendous need and opportunity to develop future leaders. The Foundation supports Delta Chi's efforts to send the presidents from our more than 120 chapters and colonies to the annual "A"s' Academy each January. To help spread that reach, a new standardized Regional Leadership Conference program is being launched in 2017. These programs will be supported by a new Emerging Leaders Conference and an online platform developed to educate chapter officers, chairmen, and alumni advisors. As our three-year "A"s' Academy Challenge comes to an end this year, the Foundation is working with the Fraternity to support these new programming endeavors. At the same time, a new endowment account has been created, allowing donors to know that their donation lives forever, with the investment interest supporting these–and future–programs. Please consider supporting the "A"s' Academy while the opportunity to double the value of your donation through Brother Michels' challenge* is still available. Alternately, a gift to the Raymond D. Galbreth Leadership Account will be used to support the Fraternity's leadership programming. And a donation to the new Foundation Endowment Account ensures that your gift continues to support Delta Chi into the future. Please support Delta Chi today with a donation to ensure our next 125 years. Fraternally, Jim Marascio, Bryant '93 Chairman of the Board of Directors The Delta Chi Education Foundation *Brother Steve Michels, Marquette '87, is matching all gifts to the "A"s' Academy up to $70,000 for a third consecutive year. Fall 2015 Your Gifts at Work in the Last Year $679,000 raised 2,000+ gifts received $250,000 scholarship/grant dollars awarded 358 scholarships/grant recipients As Delta Chi enters our next 125 years, the need is greater than ever to provide valuable leadership programs and scholarships for our young brothers. Your gift to the Delta Chi Educational Foundation will have a positive impact on our future leaders. You can make a difference!
