For all your GROCERY NEEDS & MOORE! Fresh Produce Daily! Hamburger Ground Fresh Daily! GREAT LOW PRICES! Welcome back Winter Visitors! "Passport to Adventure - Explore La Paz County" is a project of the La Paz Economic Development Corporation Focused Future II Tourism and Hos- pitality Task Team. The "Passport" is a promotional 24-page calendar booklet intended to entice locals and winter visitors to attend community events throughout the La Paz County area. From October through mid-March the Passport Book will be available for distribution throughout La Paz County. At each community event the participants can have their Passport stamped with the stamp unique to that community. The Team is planning a luncheon on Oct. 14th to kick off their "Passport to Adventure" program. The luncheon will be held at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. 50,000 brochures, or "Passports," will be distributed throughout the county starting in October 2015. This is the first Focus Future II - Tourism/Hos- pitality Brochure being distributed county-wide. As explained by the Team's Chairper- son Lynda Goldberg, people will be able to take their Passports to "stam- pable" events and attractions around the county. When a participant gains stamps for at least 3 events in any community they earn a "Boarding Pass" ticket into the prize draw- ing which will be held at the La Paz County Fair in March. Winners need not be present to win but will need to make arrangements to pick up any prizes won. Quartzsite events that are "stampable" include the Santa's Workshop Craft Show, Soup & Chowder Festival, Food Truck/Music Festival, Hi Jolly Parade, QIA 50th Annual Pow Wow, BBQ Competition, QIA Gold Show, Stage Stop Museum, Gunny's Military Museum, & lots more! County-wide events include: Best in the Desert Racing Association off-road races in Parker, the CRIT Museum, the Camp Bouse Dedication in Febru- ary, the Great Arizona Outback Chili Cook-Off in February in Salome and much more! Goldberg said local RV Parks, organi- zations and businesses dealing with our winter visitors will be attending. Businesses are encouraged to bring handouts, graphics and any other in- formation to portray their activities. Members of the Tourism Team in- clude the Parker, Bouse, Quartzsite and McMullen Valley Chambers of Commerce, the Colorado River Indian Tribes, individuals, and the La Paz Economic Development Corporation. For more information, contact Lynda Goldberg at 951-312-1910 or Shanana RAIN BearCat at 928-916-4235. More details will be online at www.LaPazCountyPassport.com
