I f you look back on the short time you had as an undergraduate, we're sure you clearly remember the moment you read your bid card from Delta Gamma and the acceptance and love that you felt. The thought of joining an organization where membership would last for a lifetime seemed overwhelming; nonetheless, you somehow found a chapter that felt like home and you met women who remain your sisters to this day. First, you were a part of it, and then it became a part of you. Now you have the chance to help strengthen the organization that gave you friendship and support and ensure it continues. It's a great time to be a DG and the excitement at the University of Iowa is palpable. Our college members have had a successful recruitment, bringing home 57 new members. We are all thrilled with the renovations that have been completed so far and hope that you are as impressed as we are with the new, improved look of 305 S. Summit. We have made great progress with the Anchored in Tradition, Securing Our Legacy at the University of Iowa campaign to fund our Chapter house renovation. To date, we have raised an impressive $677,500 toward our $800,000 goal. A sincere and heartfelt thanks to those who have already contributed. To those who have not yet made a gift, we strongly encourage your thoughtful consideration of this project. This campaign is vital to our success and your help is needed immediately so that we may reach our goal as quickly as possible. We don't want the chapter to be left wtih debt. The following facts might help in the consideration of your own level of support. • Pledges may be stretched over a five-year giving period, if desired. Many sisters have taken advantage of this opportunity to maximize their giving potential. • All donors contributing a minimum of $2,500 to the campaign will be recognized on a plaque prominently displayed in our Chapter house. The need is huge, and the time is now, so please don't wait. Please complete and mail the enclosed pledge form or go online at http://uiowadeltagamma.kintera.org/donate to make your contribution to Delta Gamma today. Just as the generosity of sisters who came before us enabled our memorable DG experience, we owe it to our future sisters to provide them the same opportunities.
