Thank you. Notice of Annual Meeting T he annual meeting for members of the S.P. Holding Company and the Gamma Rho Alumni Association, non-profit Oklahoma Corporations, will be Sunday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapter House (904 College, Norman, Oklahoma). The meeting will be convened for the following purposes: • To elect officers and directors to serve for the ensuing year until the next annual meeting of members. • To act upon other matters as may properly be heard before the meeting. This meeting is being held as specified in Section IV of the bylaws of the corporation. By order of the Board of Directors, Robert Canfield, ΓΡ 8763 Secretary, S.P. Holding Company Chapter Eternal________________ Roy V. Bynum, ΓΡ 235, entered Chapter Eternal at age 85 in Indianola, Okla. Roy held memberships and participated in many civic, local, statewide, and national organizations. Most notably, he was a longtime member of the board of directors of the Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma, a 32 Degree life member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, a McAlester Rotary Club-Paul Harris Fellow, member of the Oklahoma Historical Society, Pittsburg County Historical and Genealogical Society, and Indianola Public Schools Alumni Association board of directors. Richard E. Ryder, ΓΡ 441, entered Chapter Eternal on February 12, 2014. Alumni News__________________ Dr. Jackson D. Haraway, ΓΡ 243, now lives with his daughter, Lucinda Hammons, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. "So, I guess that makes me a sooner-hog." Jim L. Litton, ΓΡ 290, shares that his wife passed away in November 2014. Jim lives in Oklahoma City, Okla. James W.H. Denton, ΓΡ 418, and his wife, Carol, live in San Diego, Calif., and spend much of their time at their country club. They participate in the local OU club activities and support the San Diego Sociological Society activities. E-mail: jwdenton@san.rr.com Fred D. Singleton, ΓΡ 429, is at home taking care of his wife, Helen, who has trouble getting around. Their son and his family live in Oklahoma and he is in charge of the computer department of the state supreme court. Their daughter lives in Virginia, but comes home once or twice a year. "Life is good. No complaints." E-mail: fhoneton@cox.net Robert C. Parrott, ΓΡ 646, worked in oil and gas until the recent downturn. He now enjoys traveling and fishing. Ewing Jr., ΓΡ 683, and his wife, Anna, live in Purcell, Okla. They have two sons, Alex and Eli, who both graduated from Harvard in 2003. Alex graduated from Harvard Law School in 2006 and is an intellectual property litigator and lives in Boston, Mass., with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. Eli graduated Yale Law School in 2007. He is an intellectual property litigator in San Francisco, Calif., where he lives with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two sons. Noah and Anna fly to both coasts to see their sons and host them and friends often. "If not for Harvard, they would both have been LXAs at OU." E-mail: noahannewing@juno.com Eddie Mike Caswell, ΓΡ 902, graduated from OU in 1978 with a BA in journalism advertising. He moved to Dallas, Texas, and worked in corporate public relations departments. In 1992, he earned a M.Ed. in counseling from the University of North Texas. He has been in private practice since then and is a licensed professional counselor in Dallas. Chad W. Higbee, ΓΡ 1265, and his wife of 24 years, Sheila, are in the midst of a busy season of life. They have five children: Evan, Lauren, Megan, Owen and London, who are all involved in athletics. Chad continues his work in hospice care, where he has been leading teams for 20 years. Sheila continues her role as the family's biggest supporter and chief organizational officer at Rockwall Heath High. The family lives in Rockwall, Texas. E-mail: chadhigbee@ hotmail.com Jay A. Eshelman, ΓΡ 1647, was promoted to regional president for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. He will now be running the property and casualty business in the central U.S. Jay also helped start an Affinity Insurance Practice for Gallagher, which is a specialty focused on creating customized insurance programs for groups, associations, and franchises. This growing practice now has offices in Boston, Sarasota, and Kansas City. Jay and his wife, Kim, live in Tulsa, Okla.
