With such a diverser population of winter visi- tors, it would be crazy to discrimi- nate against anyone and that's what I love about Quartzsite! You can be you, whether in a 3-piece suit & tie or just casual attire. It's so nice to see our loving Chris- tian community welcoming ev- eryone and doing so much for this community. Add all our fabulous volunteers to the mix and you've got a place that visitors enjoy returning to year after year. Yup, it's that time of year when full time residents welcome our winter friends with open arms. Most of us love sharing our little piece of para- dise with them. With the changing demographics our community is changing too. But some just don't adapt to change very well. In spite of the obstacles, amaz- By Shanana "Rain" BearCat ing cooperation has been occuring around the area; between the 12- year old Quartzsite Business Cham- ber of Commerce members and the new Quartzsite Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. Then there's the cooperation between county chambers for the New "Passport to Adventure - Explore La Paz Coun- ty" booklet produced by La Paz Co Economic Dev. Corp. committee members volunteering this summer to create a First-Ever guide to all of the county happenings and attrac- tions. The Kick-off will be October 14th. The booklets will be available for free. Folks are encouraged to at- tend events all around the county to get their Passport Stamped to enter prizes. Stay tuned for all the details coming in the next few editions. It's been such an honor to witness these amazing changes of coopera- tion between agencies and organiza- tions within the county.
