D T D Gamma Pi of Delta Tau Delta P.O. Box 746 Ames, IA 50010-0746 Address Service Requested HONORING OUR HISTORY, BUILDING OUR FUTURE The Centennial Campaign for Gamma Pi CHapter eternal Jacques Y. Foster '46 entered Chapter Eternal on May 8 in Des Moines, Iowa, at age 90. His death resulted from complications following a stroke suffered in early 2014. Jack attended Iowa State University for one semester before enlisting in World War II. During the war, he received his commission as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, serving as a fighter pilot from 1943 to 1945. Following his honorable discharge, Jack earned a degree in aeronautical engineering from the Northrop Aeronautical Institute in Inglewood, Calif. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserve until 1966. Jack was president of Fairtron Corporation and Fair-Play Scoreboards, an internationally known manufacturer of electronic scoreboards and timing devices located in Des Moines. He served in leadership roles in many civic organizations, most notably during the construction and early years of the Riverfront YMCA, and similarly the Des Moines Science Center. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church. A past member of the Des Moines Choral Society and, in recent years, Jack had enjoyed singing with the Urbandale Senior Singers. Throughout his life, Jack maintained his passion for flying and was an avid skier, tennis player, and bicyclist. Michael A. Logan '55 entered Chapter Eternal in February 2014. He was a resident of Coralville, Iowa. Keith J. Vegors Jr. '71 entered Chapter Eternal on October 11, 2014, in Fort Worth, Texas. Keith earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in agricultural education and business. While in college, he was a dedicated DTD member, a letterman on the varsity golf team, and was active in numerous campus organizations. He was an honor graduate of the Iowa Military Academy and a commissioned officer in the United States Army. Keith's greatest passions in life were his family, antique farm equipment, golf, and horses. Keith is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn; son, Jay, granddaughter, Riley; daughter, Anne-Marie; sister, Karen, and brother, Ken. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
