tHe Centennial Campaign For gamma pi N ow that the 2014-15 academic year has come to a close, we can reflect on what a strong year the Gamma Pi Chapter has had. The chapter has been in extremely high spirits after earning our 23rd Hugh Shields Award for chapter excellence. Receiving this award has motivated the men of our chapter to continue to excel in leadership roles throughout the University, as well as renew efforts to achieve a high scholastic standard. Next year will be an extremely exciting time for us on campus, as we will not only be moving back to 2121 Sunset Drive, but we will be relocating into a beautiful, brand new chapter house. While the new Shelter provides a great opportunity for chapter growth, such growth is only made possible by choosing exemplary men to join us. We are focused on making sure we find only the best to welcome into our brotherhood this fall. We have begun recruiting our fall pledge class based on their academic excellence, leadership experiences, and moral integrity. The quality and character of the men we are focused on recruiting will allow our chapter to excel in the years to come. A motto that has been brought back to the chapter halls lately is: "Delts do it." Members a r e r e s p e c t e d o n c a m p u s a s l e a d e r s i n a variety of different organizations. The men of Delta Tau Delta can be found in a variety of organizations at Iowa State, impacting a broad range of communities. Our men have roles within the Interfraternal Council, making a difference in the Greek community. Our men also make a difference by taking part in various philanthropically motivated organizations, such as Blood Drive and Dance Marathon, making a difference in our local and national communities. Looking forward, we plan to redesign our philanthropic efforts to better serve our national philanthropic organization, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). With fresh ideas and a renewed fervor, we plan to support JDRF to the best of our ability. Delt men reach outside of the fraternity to make a difference and this shows that Delts truly do it all. The Gamma Pi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta is as strong today as it has ever been. With a new chapter house nearing completion and a tightly knit brotherhood that is always looking to improve, I see nothing but success for Gamma Pi in the future. There has never been a better time to be a Gamma Pi Delt.
