Sighs of Psi 3 ALUMNI NEWS Senior Spotlight on Jay Crowley '16 J ohn James Crowley '16, otherwise known as Jay, comes from the all too familiar community of Spring Hill, Alabama. During his time at St. Paul's Episcopalian, Jay excelled in football, basketball, and also served as president of the Glee Club. Currently pursuing a major in accountancy, Jay is a well- respected leader of the DKE Chapter who often leads by example. Even while maintaining a stellar 4.0 GPA, Jay is quite often the life of the party. Attend any Psi DKE function and you will find Jay cracking jokes, entertaining other brothers' dates, and, if you are lucky enough, you may even get a chance to witness his signature dance move, "The Crowley Shuffle." Although not holding any official position in the Chapter, Jay is often looked up to by the underclassmen and is one of the behind-the-scenes leaders in our Chapter. Jay has never met a stranger and is known for his very outgoing personality. When he is not buried deep in accounting textbooks, Jay likes to spend his time volunteering for the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter or drinking fine wines from around the world. After Jay leaves the Capstone of Higher Education, he plans to tackle the daunting CPA exam and start his career at an elite accounting firm. Jay is this semester's senior spotlight choice, standing as the DKE that best embodies all the attributes that our Chapter covets most. He is truly a gentlemen, scholar, and a jolly good fellow. Our brotherhood will be sad to see this shining young man graduate, but we take comfort in knowing that he will succeed in whatever he does. Best of luck to you Mr. Crowley and remember, it's never over. T wenty-nine years ago, Lee Trammell Morris '79, fondly referred to as "Pokey," married his lovely wife, Sally. After being introduced to Sally on a blind date, Lee exclaimed, "It just don't get no better than this." That was the way Lee looked at life. After a 16-year, hard-fought battle with cancer, Lee died on June 6, 2015. His memorial service was a true celebration of his life, just as Lee would have wanted it! Memories were shared expressing Lee's joy of life, love of God, his family, and his friends. His DKE brothers were present in full support, with gratitude to have known such a man. Lee lived his life as selfless as any one person ever could, always reaching out and supporting others. His gentle manner and endearing smile were contagious. Pokey will be always be remembered and missed but we will always be "friends from the heart forever!" -Psi Pledge Class 1975 Members of pledge class '75 from left, back row: Joe Galloway '79, John Wilson '79, Dan Negus '79, John Lapeyrouse '79, Will Brown '79, Bill Owen '79, Andy Terry '79, Steve Gordon '79, Gary Garstecki '79, Jim Luttrell '79, Sandy Newman '79, Ron Owen '79, David Franklin '79, Turner Williams '79, John McNeil '79, Mike Houston '79, Tom Leatherbury '79, Roy Anderson '79, David Foshee '79, and Lee Morris '79.
