Josh and the staff of the Club were there to support us in our efforts. A special thank you to Essence Erving for sharing her story about how the Club has made a difference in her life. Another special thank you goes out to Faye Burton, Kim Greene, and Ashley Lee who worked Thursday to "bundle" some of the donations in the silent and live auction to make some very interesting packages. The silent auction items had some spirited bidding during the evening. If I tried to list everyone who helped, I am sure I would miss someone. However, I want to offer a special Thank You to Faye Burton for her leadership of the auction. She worked tire- lessly for two days to get all the details right for the auctions, coordinating the sign-in table, and creating a German Chocolate Cake using Lonnie Proctor's recipe. It will take a few days to sort through the details to establish how much the auction raised, but I hope it is close to our $50,000 goal.
