We can simply, mentally, separate one thing from another. We can neatly detach our fatherhood from our hunting and fi sh- ing, and each of these from us being a husband. Some say we are organized; my wife would beg to differ or even laugh at the man who came up with that idea. Women do however; have more of a tendency to intertwine the roles in their lives. For instance, a man can go fi shing and immediately forget about any problems that may be at home. When a woman goes fi sh- ing she has a harder time leaving the role of being a coworker, mother, and wife. It's just how each of the sexes is built. And while we might argue which is better, the truth is we need one another and must learn how to bring these differences into our own lives. Again, for instance, a man must learn that he can never fully remove himself from his other roles and their responsibilities. And a woman must learn that sometimes she must give her full attention to only one role; like being a wife. When it comes to our relationship to God, the women's way is the only way. There is absolutely no way we can leave the things of God on the sideline while we participate in another activity. We all must realize that God wants to be a part of, and has a purpose in everything that makes up our life. He wants to use our home, our hobbies, and our vocation to make a dif- ference in our lives and in the lives of others. They are meant to be fully, completely, and entirely, intertwined. I'm not saying you are to turn your workplace into a church but I am saying that people at work ought to know by your actions and reac- tions that you are trying to apply spiritual principles in your life. Are you separating you spiritual life from your work life or hobby? Have you put God into a neat little box only to be opened on Sunday or at some other convenient time? I prom- ise that your fi shing trips will be much more fun and perhaps more successful if you will let God be your fi shing partner. And your work will be much more fulfi lling and perhaps more suc- cessful as well, if you will welcome Him into your place of busi- ness each day. John Rankin was the only one with a limit of bass, weighing 7.26, and he picked up the win. Jeremy Bouldin was second with 6.44 followed by Maverick Canipe with 4.92. Fourth with 4.60 was Tom Mayhew and fifth went to Roger Beaver with 4.02. Beaver also had big bass of the day with that 4.02. Lake Rhodhiss will be up this weekend for the CCBC. Kosa The retirees have fished 3 events since I was last able to report. On Lake Wylie it was Tony Black and Ned Blanton plac- ing on top with 16.7, John Black and Roger McNeilly with 13.7 and George Crosswhite and Ray Hembree with 13.2. Black and Blanton had the big bass with a 4.2 largemouth. Then on Lake Norman it was Rick Miers and J R Garland coming in first with 6.4, Fred Wright and Dean Champion with 4.5. Ray Hembree and George Crosswhite with 4.2. Big bass was a 1.7 brought in by Wright and Champion. Back on Wylie it was Dean Champion and Fred Wright with 13.0 and a big bass of 5.1. James Osborne fished solo and was second with 5.0, and that was it. This week it is back to Lake Norman. Moss Two weeks ago there were 21 boats fishing the weekly Thursday night bass tournament on Moss Lake. David and Logan Hendrick picked up the win with a catch of 11.45.
