I
'm happy to report the chapter did very
well in the fall semester, especially the
executive team. They came together and
scheduled several seminars, made it through
Homecoming, and finished the semester with
a 3.125 GPA. I am proud of them and all of
their efforts.
In the spring semester the new leadership
set some lofty goals around recruitment, the
Balanced Man Program, brotherhood events,
and alumni relations. The new president,
Brian Rosebrook '17, has appointed an
alumni relations chairman and made it their
goal to create an alumni database for the
chapter's use and host an alumni event in the
spring and fall 2015 semesters. They very
much want to reconnect with the alumni
and show the strides they have made at
Oklahoma State. If you hear from them,
please respond with your information and we
hope to see you at an upcoming event!
In addition to the transition of the executive
board, we have some transition with the
chapter counselor position as well. I had
a baby in May, so it is time to turn over
the reins. Trey Lewis '08, past chapter
president, moved back to the OKC area a
couple of years ago and has been serving
on the chapter advisory board. He has
graciously agreed to step in to the chapter
counselor role and I have no doubt he will
do a phenomenal job. I have always said
the role of the chapter advisor should be an
alumnus whenever possible, so the timing
worked out perfectly. It is my pleasure and
honor to serve Oklahoma Alpha as a 15-year
(and counting) SigEp volunteer, and I won't
go that easily! I will remain on the AVC as
the treasurer.
Thank you for your support of the
undergraduate men. They work hard to make
you proud and keep the Sigma Phi Epsilon
name at Oklahoma State a strong one.
