Unrestricted contributions support the Foundation's areas of greatest need. The Foundation presents each member with an exclusive lapel pin along with name recognition on the Foundation's website and Facebook page. In addition, all members will be invited to an exclusive special event recognizing their support. Over the last year, the following 43 alumni have become members of our Trustee Society: Foundation 2014 Annual Report- at-a-Glance Your Donations in Action Total funds raised = $679,399 Number of donations = 2,075 Number of donors = 1,102 1890 Society: • Undergraduate members = 529 • Alumni sponsors = 66 • Total funds raised = $19,597 Scholarships and Grants: • "A"s' Academy = $64,901 • Scholarships and Grants to Students = $32,819 • Chapter Housing Grants = $152,179 Number of undergraduates benefiting from scholarships and grants = 358 T he 1890 Society was created in 2013 specifically to educate undergraduate brothers on the mission, purpose, and programs of The Delta Chi Educational Foundation to create a mindset of lifelong giving to the Brotherhood. In 2014, the 1890 Society saw significant growth since the program's inaugural year of 2013: • 529 undergraduate members (+67%) • 66 alumni sponsors (+74%) • $19,597 total raised (+38%) Annually, the chapters/colonies with the highest percentage of members that joined the 1890 Society are recognized. At Delta Chi's 2014 International Convention, the Foundation recognized the following five chapters/colonies for their efforts in 2013: • Appalachian State • Southeast Missouri • Southern Illinois • Case Western Reserve • Corpus Christi Of these five, Appalachian State and Southeast Missouri were tied for first place and were awarded much- deserved trophies.
