took off," she says. The company now has
branches in Portland, Seattle and Miami.
In Sonoma County, she partnered with a
high school friend, Leah Wilson, who owns
Tutu-a-Gogo, where St. James provides live
performers for children's parties and she's
searching for a location in Portland where
she can offer similar parties and house
the executive offices for Werbuck$, an
entertainment venture with her husband that
will focus on children's entertainment, film
animation, and character-based merchandise
and books.
What started out as a hobby has now grown
into a "little obsession," she admits. "And, it's
ironic that I couldn't have kids but, through
this work, I feel like I have all these kids. I think
of them as ours and I want to provide them
with the best performers who can create
magical experiences for them."
And, she's still a working actress.
As for her endometriosis, she learned
it was possible to pick up and go on. "It's
nice being healthy," she says. "I was so sick
my whole life, it's great just waking up and
enjoying my life." n
