NH Beta Succeeds in
Academics and Philanthropy
T
he NH Beta chapter has made great strides toward achieving our
most successful year yet. We have thrived in academics through
good scholarship practice and in our chapter activities around campus.
The spring semester has been a whirlwind for the NH Beta chapter of
Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Chapter Exceeds 3.0 GPA
In fall 2014 we achieved success in earning a 3.02 GPA. Numerous
brothers achieved an outstanding 4.0 including, Shersingh Joseph
Tumber-Davila '15, Dylan Bartlett '16, and Alex Febonio '16. Our
new scholarship chairman, Jon Opari '17, is working to improve new
member and overall GPA.
Paddy Murphy Comes to UNH
We are ecstatic to announce that we brought the Paddy Murphy event
to the UNH campus on April 6. Events included the Durham 500
and a bingo night. The philanthropy committee is working diligently
to implement a successful event to have every spring semester.
Our community service chairman, Conor Struckman '18, has been
working hard to create a strong relationship with the local food pantry
in Portsmouth, N.H.
NH Beta at 70 Members
We have worked to create strong relations with our police and fire
department. We hope to have a police officer come in and speak at an
event and a possible CPR certification with another sorority. The two
newest member classes have shown resounding strength in leadership
and numbers. With a jaw-dropping 22 new members initiated this fall
and nine this spring, we sit at around 70 active brothers. Last spring
we hosted a parent's appreciation event with alumni and are working to
schedule another later this spring.
We have strengthened communication with our alumni and would enjoy
your company at the house anytime. Abundant success awaits us this
year. Please keep your ears open for upcoming events!
