RE D BL UF F CH AM BE R 3daysuntiltheMardi-CrawCrawdadFestival There was a lot of ex- citement March 24 as more than 200 people at- tended an evening at Rod- gers Theatre. As they en- tered people were invited to sign a copy of the floor plan that was drawn of the theater. The line was half way down the block as peo- ple waited to enter the the- ater to see what has been done so far. Linda Lima, who is now doing catering again under the new name Catering by Lima, donated and provided the wonder- ful spread of food for the event. We would like to thank Linda and Dan Lima for providing the appetiz- ers for the evening. Lester Fox and the North Fork Band performed on stage and we appreciate them volunteering to play at no cost for this event. Everyone enjoyed the music and some even got their feet to moving on the new floor. We would also like to thank Millie Williams for donating her watercolor painting of Rodgers The- atre that we sold raffle tick- ets for as a fundraiser for the theater. Dianne Rabal- ais from 530 Studio donated the frame for the painting — thank you. We are happy to announce that the painting brought in $985. The win- ner has donated the paint- ing back to the theater so it will be displayed in the the- ater once it is finished. A bicycle was donated by Don Knight of Don's Barber & Hobby Shop and was dis- playedatthetheater.Wewill now be selling tickets for the boy's bicycle at the Cvham- ber of Commerce office and at the upcoming May Mad- ness Car Show. So we hope this too will be a successful fundraiser. Thank you to Don for the donation. We also want to thank those who donated time and resources to work on the theater such as Tom White Construction, Rich Towne Construction, C R Construction and Patter- son Electric. We would also like to thank all the volun- teers and donors to the theater, being too many to name individually. There is still work to be done and we still need to raise funds for the comple- tion of the project. If you would like to donate please make checks payable to Corning Community Foun- dation. You may send it to the Chamber of Commerce at 1110 Solano St., or to Dar- lene Dickison, P.O. Box 135, Corning, CA 96021.
