Scott '09 Brian Breittholz, Friend of Beta Martin Cobb, EKU '96 Thank You, Alpha Chapter Brothers hank you to the 115 brothers who have contributed $33,420 to the Alpha House Company in the last few months. Your gifts ensure that Alpha Chapter continues to operate while working toward recolonization in 2017. We sincerely thank all who have contributed during this critical time. T ack Weston '02 came to Miami with little interest in joining a fraternity despite his father's immense pride in being an SAE at Mississippi State University. However, after a frustrating freshman year and the experience his friends had with Beta Theta Pi, Jack decided to join Alpha Chapter. Twelve years after graduation, Jack is still thankful for his undergraduate experience. "My Beta life and college life in general really helped shape my personality, confidence, and direction, and made me the individual I am today." As intramural and scholarship chairman, Jack balanced fraternity life with earning his bachelor of accounting degree with a minor in finance. "As a lot of my brothers would confirm, I was 'that guy' who took intramurals a little too seriously and was involved in pretty much every sport imaginable. I made some of my best friends on the athletic fields." Jack's love of sports, Beta, and Miami continues in his adult life as he watches as much live sports as he can, stays involved with the Alpha House Company, and is the Cincinnati chapter president for Miami alumni. He also manages the accounting and finance functions for a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble, Agile Pursuits Franchising, which is franchising the Tide Dry Cleaners concept. With the rest of his time he owns and runs Rhinehaus, a neighborhood bar in the recently revived Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, and is working on opening a second establishment in the Pendleton Neighborhood. "Although I didn't intend to join a fraternity, I couldn't be more glad that it happened on accident. It ended up providing me with structure, leadership opportunities, lifelong friends, and set me up for success in the real world." Jack stays close with Alpha Chapter brothers in the area and around the country. "It's always great to see familiar faces around town who share that lifelong bond." Jack and his wife, Anna, live in Cincinnati, where he was named a winner of Cincinnati's Forty Under 40 Award, plays a lot of golf, rides a scooter, does CrossFit, and stays active to offset his love of beer. They love to travel but are happy to call Cincinnati their forever home. Contact Jack via e-mail at rcwestoniii@gmail.com.
