Collection pro- cedures changed. Advertising changed. Application procedures and acceptance qualifications changed. Everything was re-engineered. Almost everything, anyway. If you read this column on a week- day, New Town Apartments is to open for business at 9:30am. It is supposed to close at 5:00pm. e office manager, however, has a tendency to always ar- rive earlier and to always stay later. e current owner suffers the burden of the monthly loan payment, the small claims cases, how much paint to buy and how many maintenance people to employ. I know, because I own New Town Apart- ments. A few things, however, I do not ever worry about are these: 1) Will we open on time? 2) Will the phones get answered? 3) Will 100% of the rent money actually make it into the bank account? I don't worry about those things. You see, I have a "Woman in Business," Pol- ly McMillan, who woke up and got out of bed this morning. at awakening meant that the job needing to be done at New Town Apartments would be done and done well. Leaving me enough time in the day, perhaps, to see if Massey Hill Drug still spins milkshakes.
