Banks has been secretary of Rainbow 479 for some years. He was first a member of Corinthian 230 in Rocky Mount where he was twice master. He joined Rainbow lodge when he retired and served as master there before becoming secretary. Banks WAKE FOREST — Millbrook 97's G. Max Bloodworth recently re- ceived his Diamond Jubilee for 60 years as a Mason. Bloodworth, also a mem- ber of Granville 380 and Archer 165, described it as "one of the proudest days of my life." He reports that he has visited 80 lodges in eight jurisdictions. AHOSKIE — Edward T. "Puddin" Copeland, center, of Da- vie 39 has recently been presented his 60-year Diamond Jubilee. Snow Creek 571 Master Frank Hager, right, presented the award. Seen with them here is Jack's uncle Don McLelland, 64 years a Mason and also a member of Snow Creek. Both McLellands remain active and are officers in Snow Creek Lodge. — Lloyd Weatherman MOREHEAD CITY — Grand Master Dalton Mayo visited Ocean 405 November 1. He was there to present Harry Vernon Hardy, center, his 75 year membership certificate. He also gave Harry Chase Rivers, second from right, his 50-year Veteran's Emblem. It was the lodge's Awards and Ladies' Night at the Greensboro Masonic Temple. — Jeff Bullington AHOSKIE — Davie 39's Grady W. Sumner recently earned his Diamond Jubilee for 60 years membership. Thomas McCollum Jr., left, got his 60-year Diamond Jubilee. James Leo Rhodes, center, received his 50-year Veteran's Emblem. Dan River Master Jerry Foley, right, and 22nd District Deputy Grand Master Donald Kehler made the presentations. — Tommy McCollum CARY — November 11, Green Level 277 presented Raymond Johnson, center, a custom-made apron and special Certificate of Merit honoring his 65 years as a Mason. Master Stan Latta is seen here showing the apron. The honoree's son, William Johnson, tied the apron around his father's waist. Raymond's wife and daughter also attended the altar. He served the lodge as master in 1958. — Stan Latta MOREHEAD CITY — On November 10, OCEAN 405 Master Chase Templeton presented Thomas Augustus Abell, right, his 70-year award on behalf of the Grand Lodge of South Carolina. Abell is a plural member of Eau Claire 344 in Colum- bia, South Carolina and Ocean 405. — Jim Hall CREEDMOOR — On September 20, Creedmoor 499 held their Annual Car Show. It was the eighth year for the event. e show was a great success with 88 cars entered, Grand Master Dalton Mayo at- tended, and WTVD News Anchor Anna Laurel helped hand out trophies. Eddie Caudle, of Oxford Car and Truck, donated a 2000 Ford Mustang GT Convert- ible for auction. e auction brought $5,000 which was donated to the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford.
