The Parker 425 is the only off-road race in the nation that starts on the downtown streets of a town or city. The sixth annual "Downtown Expe- rience" will get underway Thursday, Feb. 5, starting at noon and ending at 7 p.m. This is an offi cial Best in the Des- ert event and will take place at Arizona and Joshua Avenues in Parker. Downtown Experience, a street fair and "show and shine" allows race fans to get up close and personal with the racers and their machines. Technical Inspection and Contingency will be held Friday, Feb. 6, at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. The offi cial starting line for the Park- er 425 will be on California Avenue in front of the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce building. The racers will be proceed to 18th Street, where they will make a left turn and head out onto the desert course. SPECTATOR AREAS There are (3) spectator areas for the race; one is on Shea Road and two in Bouse at the "Y". Both areas have walk- in day use areas. Info: www.bitd.com. Parker 425
