English Bonus A ccording to a study by Androitdigital, detailing how Hispanics' online shopping habits and how they respond to online advertising efforts, advertisers could evolve alongside the Hispanic shopper. According to the report, having a younger population, Hispanic buying power will increase exponentially until 2024. Thus, Hispanics' online buying habits can increasingly imitate those of Millennials, since much of the Hispanic population is in the age range between 15 and 34 years. After increasing by 62% over the last 15 years, the Hispanic population is the largest contributor to population growth in this country. While the total US population grew by 0.7% in 2013, the Hispanic population increased more than 2%. In 2050, Hispanics will account for one third of Americans. Also, Hispanics are younger than the general US population. 70% are under 40 years (first generation Hispanics) have an annual income between $50,000 and $99,000 and are responsible for nearly 40% of the $1.3 trillion in purchasing power of Hispanics. Online Shopping According to the survey, the Latino community spends six hours a day connected to a technology device, compared to the general population. The report indicates that if advertisers want to encourage buyers to make an online purchase with them instead of a competitor, they must offer discounted prices.
