Don and Mary Ward Stocking Stuffers and Christmas Gifts Frank Oulman For the Quartzsite Food Bank Quartzsite - For 30+ years the Quartzsite Food Bank has been helping feed the disadvantaged of our community. Through the blood, sweat, and tears of our vol- unteers and the generosity of the people in town, we've managed to put in place a very successful program that not only helps the town, but also reaches into Cibola, Ehrenburg, and Bouse. We aver- age about 500 families per month and what we receive in aid from the government, is embarrassingly negligible. Today we need your help. The freezer that we count on for keep- ing items good for longer periods of time, has died. We now turn away bread, meat and anything that would spoil if not frozen. It's a terrifi c blow to our program and the various governments that we interact with all say they have no money to fi x it. So the call is going out. Can you help us? We'll take pennies if that's all you can afford, but it's going to take about $6,000 to make the repairs so that we can once again receive the perishables. Over all the years, this community has received much from and in return been very sup- portive of the Food Bank, and while it's hard to ask for more, we sure could use the additional help now. Please bring in your cash dona- tions to our Food Bank, next to the Senior Citizens Center at 40 N. Moon Mountain Rd. We're open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am until noon and Carol Kelley will be happy to provide you a receipt for your donation. Thank you!
