INEZ B. SIMS I n e z B. Sims, age 86, of S p i n d a l e , p a s s e d a w a y M o n d a y , N o v e m b e r 24, 2014. Born October 7, 1928 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter to the late Monroe Adams and Minnie Hill Adams. She worked as a caterer for Marriott Food Service for many years and also worked at Southern Devices Industries. She most recently was the secretary for the Forest City Senior Center and worked for the Forest City First United Methodist Day Care. She was a mem- ber of Main Street Baptist Church in Spindale and enjoyed fishing, dancing and taking family vaca- tions to Dayton Beach and Myrtle Beach. In addition to her par- ents, she was preced- ed in death by her first husband, James Walter Bradley and her second husband, Thomas Ray Sims; two sons, Jimmy Bradley and Bobby Gene Bradley and daughter, Betty Gene Avant. Survivors include three sons, Johnny Bradley of Forest City, James Bradley of Mooresboro and Thomas Sims and wife, Lisbeth of Rosemount, Minnesota; five daugh- ters, Patsy Reid of Forest City, Delores Crotts of Anniston, Alabama, Linda Schablitsky of Rosemount, Judy Bradley of Spindale and Debbie Bradley of Hillman, Minnesota. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. VIRGINIA BLANKENSHIP HILL V i r g i n i a Blankenship Hill, age 90, of Forest City, passed a w a y T u e s d a y , N o v e m b e r 25, 2014. A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Lee Blankenship and Sarah Elizabeth Hunt Blankenship, she loved her past job at Walmart where she worked in the shoe department. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Hill in 1977. Survivors include two sons, Robert Hill and his wife Huynh of Forest City, Jeff Hill and his wife Debby of Sandy Mush, a daughter, Susan Hill Logan of Forest City, and a sister, Helen Blankenship Panther of Charlotte. There are 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held privately for the fam- ily with Mr. Tim Elmore officiating. Interment fol- lowed in the Cool Springs Cemetery. The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. CHRISTINE DOBBINS WILKERSON Christine D o b b i n s W i l k e r s o n , age 87 of Forest City went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was born on February 4, 1927 in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Fletcher Lee and Lanner Hawkins Dobbins. She was a long time employee of Doncaster- Tanner Companies and a member of the Florence Baptist Church where she was active in the Women's Circle. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Wilkerson and her son, Larry Wilkerson as well as five brothers and five sisters Survivors include a daughter, Sybil Price, a son, Roger Wilkerson and wife Cindy, daughter-in- law, Dee Wilkerson, six grandchildren, Michele and Greg Goode, Kirk and Cindy Wilkerson, Brad and Kelly Wilkerson, Jennifer and Kevin Blanton, Stephanie and Ted Hall, Carrie and Brian Osburne, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Betty Holtzclaw and sis- ter-in-law, Ruth VanDyke as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. FAYE WOOD RUSSELL Faye Wood Russell, age 81 of Forest City passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. She was born May 22, 1933 in Rutherford County and was a daugh- ter of the late Vernon and Mamie Frashier Wood. Faye worked for Cone Mills at the Haynes Plant where she retired from the Cloth Inspection Department. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and the Women's Sunday School Class. Her husband, John Max Russell, a daughter, Susan Maxine Cogdell, and a son, John Douglas Russell preced- ed her in death. Survivors include her son, Kevin Scott Russell and wife Dani of Landrum, SC, daughters, Gwen Bennett and hus- band Jim of Ellenboro, Connie Grant and hus- band Michael of Forest City and Sheryl McGinnis of Sandy Mush, brothers, James Edward "Bo" Wood of Forest City, Larry Dean Wood of Ellenboro, and Johnny Sisk of Forest City, sisters, Mabel Knight and Nancy Hunt both of Ellenboro. There are eight grandchildren and twelve great-grand- children. Funeral services were held in the Crestview Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Rohm officiating. Her son, Scott Russell delivered a eulo- gy. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. BOBBY DEAN BRYANT Bobby Dean Bryant, age 72, of Mooresboro, passed away November 25, 2014. Born August 2, 1942 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Thomas Matthew Bryant and Lishey Kennedy Bryant. Bobby was a graduate of Chase High School, the first graduating class of 1960 and served in the Army National Guard for several years. He worked as a loom fixer for Stonecutter Mills for eighteen years and then worked at Able Machine- Hydraulics & Plating Inc. in Taylors, SC for thirty three years before retir- ing. He attended Temple Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Nathan Daniel Bryant; sister, Leola Lail and brother, L.J. Bryant. Survivors include his loving wife of forty-sev- en years, Gloria Hollifield Bryant; one daughter, Linda Kwasniewski and husband, Rick of Gaffney, SC; three sisters, Lillie Mae Butler and husband, Ware of Gaffney, Irene Hines and husband, Marlin of Spartanburg, SC and Gennell Burgess and husband, Alfred also of Gaffney. Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Laws officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family. BARBARA BACH CASH Barbara Bach Cash, 82, of Forest City, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. A native of Madison, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late John Leo Bach and Leona Reed Bach, and widow of the late William Littleton "Bill" Cash. She retired as a customer ser- vice representative for Watkins Rentals. Mrs. Cash also worked for North Western Bank, and taught adult educa- tion classes at Cleveland Community College. She was a member of Ft. Hill United Methodist Church, Lynchburg, VA. Survivors include her son, John Cash and wife Betty of Dover, Delaware; daughters, Debbie Bostic and husband Steve of Bostic, NC and Melanie Alfaro and husband Richard of Gastonia, NC, grandchildren, Brandy Hannon and husband Norman, Blake Bostic and wife Carrie, Ashley Alfaro, Matthew Cash, and Megan Cash, and sis- ter-in-law, Frances Cash Spencer of Lynchburg, VA. Funeral services were held in the Padgett & King Chapel with Reverend Ad Hopper officiating. Interment followed in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
