In my new position, I will continue to manage the property in partnership with him in day-to-day operations of maintenance and repairs, the dining areas, menus, staff, my Facebook page, and all events. Doug will be living on-site and work with the board, advisors, EC, and the Chapter members on a variety of programs and opportunities, as well as all after hours and weekend duties. Together, we will continue to support the Chapter in all their day-to-day operations and needs. I will be back and forth throughout the semester, and I look forward to supporting the members, parents and alumni in the same roll I have been honored to have for the last year. This has been a very difficult decision for me but one I know will be in the best interest of everyone at this time. Thank you for all your support. After attending the Balfour Leadership Conference, the executive council has big goals for the Chapter this semester. With a new focus on safety, leadership and involvement, the Chapter is responding phenomenally. With these new plans for the Chapter, it is best to start with some new ears. Sigma Chi signed 37 new members during the summer. These men will follow the eight-week Sigma Chi pledge program and will be initiated in January. On the philanthropy front, Sigma Chi is working with Beta Theta Pi to coordinate a hockey game. This will be held during the spring and the proceeds will go to cancer research. Socially, Xi Xi is soaring as well. We were proud to host Dads Weekend in September. A casino night was held on Friday, followed by a tailgate on Saturday for the football game. The men of Sigma Chi are participating in Homecoming for the second time since getting off probation. Sigma Chi is paired with the lovely ladies of Alpha Phi and the activities are abundant. House decorations, a skit and a float for the Homecoming parade are all in the works. On November 7, the men of Xi Xi will attend the fall formal in Memphis, Tennessee.
