B
y end of the year, we should be aware of the holiday
season thus becoming vital for brands and retailers
sales if planned correctly. Many companies are
focused on reconciling 2014 and planning for 2015, but
holidays are the perfect time to allow the opportunity to
connect deeply with Hispanics. This time of year is unique
because of the mixture of cultures with both American and
Hispanic traditions that create new prospects generating
contact points with Hispanic families. What better way to
do it by incorporating important traditions into your holiday
marketing initiatives?
Traditions are ties that bind us with our people. Beliefs,
celebrations, customs, ideas, information, practices and stories
are passed on from one generation to another. As families
gather and traditions are shared, brands and retailers have
a great opportunity to communicate with consumers in an
authentic way, by creating promotions and offers that facilitate
this blend of traditions. Traditions must be highly considered
by all holiday marketing strategies, so that brands and retailers
do not only "sell" to consumers, but honor, share and help
them bring to life their traditions which are the essence of who
they are.
Thanksgiving
Considered as an American holiday, most U.S. Hispanics have
adopted this tradition as their own, and it is being passed on to
younger generations.
