Without a doubt our chapter house has served us well. It is where we each created our own Beta memories like nights of singing songs and playing games, pomping chicken wire for Homecoming floats, building Campus Carni sets, and enjoying Monday night dinners. Since established in 1927, more than 1,500 Betas have called our chapter house home. Year after year, the house has played a critical role in establishing lasting friendships and fraternal bonds. In its 87th year, the house is showing its age. With years of heavy usage, funding shortages, and postponed capital improvements we must take action now to ensure our chapter's future at the University of Minnesota. We are facing ever-increasing competition from the other fraternities on campus doing renovations and modern amenities offered in off-campus housing. Beta Pi alumni volunteers took action and have started renovation plans for our beloved and historic chapter house for the first time in decades. A lengthy list of major improvements is taking shape, and we need to address critical safety and security issues to help attract the best men on campus to Beta. In total, we need to raise $750,000 to complete all projects as planned. Your support is essential. The alumni leadership, advisory team, and the active chapter are asking for your support today. To date, $508,365 has already been secured toward The North Shall Increase: Building a Bridge to Beta Pi's Future campaign. Gifts can be made over a five-year period with either a yearly payment or monthly payments to make it easier to give back. It's important that we give now, while there's an opportunity to make a difference. Over the next few months, all Beta Pi alumni and supporters will be contacted to support this once-in-a- lifetime opportunity for our chapter. You will be receiving more details about this effort and how you can help. In the meantime, we encourage you to start thinking about leaving a lasting legacy at 1625 University Avenue SE. Together, we can ensure Beta Pi will be alive and well for generations!
