ΚΣ Beta-tau Chapter Kappa Sigma Fraternity at BaKer univerSity | Fall 2014 M ajor's Update Beta-Tau Announces $800,000 Campaign for Future of Kappa Sigma Nearly $350,000 Already Committed from 56 Loyal Brothers T he Beta-Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma has impacted the lives of more than 900 young men who have been initiated at Baker University. It is the place where we worked and became men. It provided a support system, lifetime friendships, contacts, social opportunities, and simply fond memories. We all gained from our Beta-Tau membership. Many of us can say it helped form who we are today. However, time has taken its toll on our Chapter House since it was built. As maintenance concerns grow and competition increases from Baker and other fraternities like Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Tau Delta, who have recently completed renovations, the Beta-Tau of Kappa Sigma Society is committed to providing a competitive and safe facility that will meet the needs of our undergraduate brothers well into the 21st century. We are excited to announce the Preserving Our Past, Building Our Future campaign. We have three main goals we want to achieve with this campaign: 1. Provide much-needed renovations to the Chapter house, both inside and out, to stay competitive on campus and ensure our members have a safe and secure place to call home. 2. Increase our scholarship endowment to assist more members who excel in academics, Chapter, campus, and community involvement, or are in need of financial assistance.
