Pi Deuteron Continues Success in Many Areas S pring was another successful time at the Pi Deuteron house. We received merit and distinction awards in all six categories at Greek Awards, once again distinguishing us as one of the top chapters on KU's campus. The Chapter House is at maximum capacity again with 69 men living in and another 11 brothers living out. SUCCESSFUL RECRUITMENT Last year's recruitment chairmen, Adam Smith '16 and Jeff DeGolia '16, worked vigorously to bring in another pledge class of 30 fantastic new members. The pledge class of 2018 is diverse, representing seven states and 21 high schools. Thanks to the generosity of Monte Soukup '88, the pledges have worked on many campus and house improvement projects. We appreciate and value your recruitment recommendations. We ask that you please keep sending your recommendations to new Recruitment Chairmen Walter Cayce '17 and Reid McNearney '17 at KUFijiRecruitment@gmail.com. INVOLVEMENT ON CAMPUS Each year, we see involvement from brothers across campus. We currently have members serving in organizations such as Rock Chalk Revue, Student Senate, Interfraternity Council, and Board of Class of Officers. Homecoming was a success and we enjoyed our pairing with Alpha Chi Omega. We are also determined to make it into Rock Chalk Revue with our partners, Sigma Kappa. PHILANTHROPIC SUPPORT The annual FIJI run for Leukemia will take place again this fall on the last weekend of November. We are making strides to out-fundraise the Chi Deuteron brothers at Kansas State University. If you wish to make a donation, feel free to contact me. We will also add a spring semester philanthropy for the first time in years that will support the USO and engage the entire KU campus. As always, we appreciate graduate involvement in the Chapter and hope to see you at Pi Deuteron in the near future. Fraternally, Justin Ruffalo '16 Chapter President / KUFijiPresident@gmail.com Perge!
