Together, these donors gave $26,495. Your dedication to Theta Omega is greatly appreciated, and now our living room and foyer look spectacular! It certainly helped with recruitment this year and has really improved overall morale. Our undergraduate sisters are very proud of the updates. Donors are listed in their lifetime annual campaign giving level. If an error has been made in recording your gift, or your name has been mistakenly omitted or listen improperly, we sincerely apologize. Please send corrections to Pat Domann '73 at domann@saint-johns.net. Thank you, again, for giving back to the chapter—it truly does make a difference! Generous Alumnae and Friends, Thank You! Because of You Our Living Room and Foyer Look Amazing It's Easy to Support Theta Omega W e have a very convenient (and safe) online giving form located at http://tridelta. kintera.org/thetaomega. Jennifer Mallett Schuessler '00 rallied her pledge class to donate to the recent appeal and she said, "Everyone who has submitted a donation online already commented on how simple the process was, and I totally agree! It was a good experience." Be sure to visit our online giving link to make a gift today. Thank you for your support! Y our generous support of the Theta Omega Educational Endowment Fund has enabled us to establish our third scholarship, the Dr. Cora Downs Scholarship, in the amount of $500. Dr. Cora Downs '46 was the first woman to earn a Ph.D. at the University of Kansas and was a professor of microbiology from 1917 to 1963. She gained international attention for developing disease diagnosis techniques that have saved countless lives and have revolutionized doctors' abilities to identify and combat viral and bacterial infections. Very important to our chapter, she became the first Theta Omega member in 1946 when Executive Office initiated her and several other older women to recruit and initiate the first new member pledge class of 1946. To be considered for this scholarship, members must be in good standing and have intentions to continue their education at the University of Kansas, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and evidence of outstanding service to or leadership in Theta Omega. The scholarship will be awarded to the woman who demonstrates the pioneer spirit and dedication exemplified by Dr. Downs within Theta Omega. Congratulations to the 2014 scholarship recipients who were awarded their scholarships at our annual Pansy Breakfast this past April. Barbara Lawrence Leadership Scholarship ($500) – Christina Rogers '12, Wichita, Kan. Pat Domann Most Exemplary Member Scholarship ($500) – Jordan McEntee '13, Overland Park, Kan.
