MU MESSENGER

STAYING CONNECTED
It was another exciting year at 900 S. Providence, and we can't wait to see
what this school year brings. You should have received an alumnae update
request form recently. Please take a few moments to fill this out and return
it if you haven't already. We love to hear what our alumnae are up to.
STRONGER THAN EVER
Our collegians are strong as ever. They welcomed 93 wonderful new women
into our chapter, continue to support the Delta Gamma Foundation and the
centers for children with visual impairments in St. Louis and Kansas City,
and are leaders in the Greek community at Mizzou. The Greek community
remains very strong as well, as I am sure you attest to if you've visited
campus in recent years. Renovations and construction can be found on
nearly every street.
REMAINING COMPETITIVE
The house corporation continues to strategize the best possible solution
for Mu chapter's future. To maintain our high standards of excellence and
tradition, we must offer an environment with up-to-date amenities that
meet the needs of our future sisters. In order to attract the best women
possible, we must compete with other sororities on campus, as well as
with on-campus residence halls and off-campus apartments. The goal of
the house corporation is to provide the best learning, living, and leading
environment that we can for members of Mu chapter. Safety is our number
one priority and is at the top of our list when allocating funds and projects
each year.
GET INVOLVED WITH MU
We encourage all members of Mu chapter to get involved with Delta
Gamma. There are many opportunities to volunteer with the chapter and
its members, and we welcome you to become part of it. I continue to
be amazed at all the women I call sisters at Mizzou. From our youngest
members to our alumnae across the decades, there's one thing that will
always remain—our unmatched bonds of sisterhood. Stop by and visit the
house when you are in Columbia. We would love to welcome you home!

House Corporation Prepares for the Future
The anchor room was totally revamped this summer,
complete with a desk for the house director to utilize
while she is at the chapter house.
The house corporation hired a decorator this summer
to redo our living room. After rearranging and
adding some new pieces, we ended up with a
much more appealing space.
As part of the summer renovations,
the main floor TV room was redecorated and
received new window treatments.
