They also have been meeting budget requirements for the past two years and have created an emergency fund that exceeds the Lambda Chi Alpha constitutional requirements. • There has been a change in a number of our contracts for maintenance and upkeep of the house. These are a few of the practices that have taken place over the past two years, and we want you to know that we are committed to keeping our historic home in the best condition possible. In Z.A.X., Rodger Lalli, GR 1894 Ensuring Your Investment (Continued from page 1) T he Loyd Harris Alumni Golf Tournament was held May 17 at Jimmie Austin Golf Course. Nearly 100 Gamma-Rho alumni attended. The tournament was chaired by Craig Parrish, GR 1541, Todd Kahoe, GR 1619, and Colby Korsun, GR 2061, and continues to be the most well attended alumni event of the year for the Chapter. The winners of the A flight were once again Chad Kennard, GR 2236, Stephen Isernhagen, GR 2221, Nate Fuller, GR 2242, and Kyler Dawson, GR 2220. The group claimed their third victory in a row. "Playing in the Lambda Chi golf tournament is one of my favorite events to participate in each year. There is nothing better than getting to spend an entire afternoon fraternizing with former Lambdas. The people that put the tourney together do a great job and I look forward to playing in it for many years to come," said Stephen Isernhagen. Chad Kennard followed up, "We enjoy playing in the Loyd Harris Alumni Golf Tournament every year and look forward to going after our fouth title in five years next spring. The Loyd Harris Alumni Golf Tournament CHAPTER ETERNAL Richard R. Allred, GR 517, entered Chapter Eternal on November 2, 2013, at age 75 in Oklahoma City. Richard graduated from Odessa High School and went on to earn a degree in petroleum engineering at OU. Richard met his wife, Mary, in college and they married in August 1961. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, ROTC, Toastmasters International, Jeans and Queens Square Dance Club and Tulsa Rock and Mineral Society. He was an avid rockhound and enjoyed hunting, collecting, cutting and polishing rocks. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by Mary; his daughter, Deanna, and husband Curt, son, Steve and his wife, Amy, and grandsons, Tams and Taylor. Harry J. Benson, GR 573, entered Chapter Eternal on June 5, 2013. Harry continued his education at Oklahoma University on a ROTC Naval Scholarship. Harry was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He practiced law in McAlester before being hired by Halliburton Oil Company in Duncan as a general counsel attorney for more than 23 years, where he and his ex-wife, Vicky, raised three sons. He married Katy Stephens on August 21, 1998. Harry loved reading, music and was a fanatical OU and Thunder fan. He is preceded in death by his son, Jim Benson, GR 1464, and survived by Katy, his daughter, Merica, his sons, Andy, GR 1366, and wife, Katie, and John, GR 1630, and wife, Lexie; many grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
