elta Tau Delta is stronger than ever at IU. The chapter
has become a premier organization and has emerged
as one of the top fraternities on campus. The chapter boasts
165 members for the 2013-14 academic year. The Shelter
is at maximum capacity with 86 members living in the
house. While the Little 500 team has been recognized over
the last few years, the rest of the membership solidifies its
campus reputation by participating in numerous activities,
fraternity and sorority philanthropies, and other events that
positively impact the Bloomington community.
Community Service & Philanthropy
Undergraduate members performed 560 hours of community
service during the 2012-13 school year. They had four Red
Cross blood drives at the fraternity house and participated
in Safe Halloween, which allows local kids to come trick
or treat at the fraternity. Beta Alpha hosts a powderpuff
football tournament in April. The proceeds from the event
are donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,
which is Delta Tau Delta's national philanthropy. The men
also compete in the campus-wide Dance Marathon, which
supports Riley's Children Hospital.
