She will be missed by many in Quartzsite. PJ was a founding mem- ber of Proud Neighbors of Quartzsite and was the very fi rst artist to sign up for Rockin' in Quartzsite. PJ served on the Hi Jolly Cemetery Board, designed the AZ Centennial of Quartzsite logo, volunteered most recently at the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Com- merce, was an active member in many local organizations, including the GFWC Women's Club, Senior Center, Salvation Army. The photo was taken at last year's Walk in the Past hosted by the Cemetery Board. For those who didn't know her, as you can tell by her costume, she was a quite a character! She was a good friend to many volunteers in town and stirred the pot where ever she was. She leaves a void in our community and will be remembered for her strong personality and giving spirit. Befelled by heat stroke, sadly our son and brother Steven W. O'Shea was re- moved from life support On Saturday, July 5, 2014. He was raised in An- tioch CA after spending his fi rst nine years in Concord CA. Baseball was in his blood and he showed a very early interest in the game as an observer of the teams that practiced next door in the school yard. When he reached eligibility age, he played two years in Concord before moving to Antioch and joining their Little League Baseball system and on through Babe Ruth Baseball. Steven was never afraid of hard work, was known for his ever ready smile, willing to help his fellow man, his politeness and sometimes silliness. Always a sports fan, his favorite teams were the Oakland Raiders and the Oakland A's. He was very proud of his son Richard O'Shea, A.K.A. wrestler Rik Luxury, and will be missed by his mother Diane O'Shea, two brothers, John and Douglas O'Shea, his son Rik and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in the CA Bay Area and friends in Quartzsite. Harry William Walster passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014 at age 89, in Arizona, his daughters at his side. Harry was born September 26, 1924 in Maltby, Washington to Charles and Edith Walster. He grew up on their farm in Maltby, graduating from Snohomish High School, class of 1942. Harry served in the Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He worked at many occupations over the years including logging, plywood plant worker, owning his own custom backhoe business, and installing water lines. After retirement Harry divided his time between Arizona where he enjoyed playing "desert golf", and his cabin in Montana where he loved scrambling the banks of secluded creeks trying to outwit trout. He passed along his love of fi shing and the outdoors to his daughters and their Penai June "PJ" Bettmann Steven W. O'Shea Harry William Walster families. Harry was also a "rockhound" and eventually became very skilled at stone faceting. A man who lived life fully and on his own terms he will be greatly missed. Harry was preceded in death by his sister, Ida; brothers, Bernard and Lee; and grandson, Jay Hajek. He will be remembered by daughters, Gayle Hajek (Gary), Marilyn Walster ( Sid Friedman), Terri Walster, and Becky Olson (Dale); grandchildren, Sydney, Megan, Whitney and Spencer; and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Piper. Harry also leaves behind his sister, Mary; brothers, Stan, Ray, and Ralph; as well as numerous other fam- ily and friends. In memory of our father please enjoy a bowl of your favorite ice-cream. As he use to say.... "ice-cream for all hands!" T D M 800-656-HOPE
