Name: David Chung Lived here for: Lifelong resident Best known for: Will play in the 2011 Masters David Chung, a native of Fayetteville who attends Stanford University, is among the top- ranked amateur players in the world of golf. “All golfers who are serious have things in common, hard work and family support.” Q: What is a fun fact readers do not know about you? You will not be disappointed ” Name: Carrie King Lived here for: Lifelong resident Best known for: Pulling off first class large scale events in our community – the organization has been nationally recognized with numerous awards. Carrie King is the ExecutiveDirector for the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, a non-profit organization. King said her favorite quote is “Go big or go home,” much like the events she produces. Q. What would Fayetteville find most surprising about you? A. Born and raised here and not from a military family. Q: What is something that people might not realize about your job? A: Our non profit organization produces four events per year – Spring Festival, New Year’s Eve Event, Historic Hauntings and Miss Fayetteville Dogwood Festival Pageant all with one full time employee (me) and a part time assistant.
