OMICRONICLE Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi H University of Alabama H Spring 2014 OMICRON CHAPTER STILL NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT TO RAISE REMAINING $381,341 Brothers, Help Us Furnish Our Beautiful New Home NEW HOME SHINES ON UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD If you were not able to attend our grand opening event in February, we strongly encourage you to visit soon. Undergraduates and alumni are both thrilled to enjoy the largest and finest fraternity house on campus. Upon entering our new home, you will be wowed by the grand two-story entryway, complete commercial kitchen, central living room opening to our magnificent courtyard, and much more. The completion of this spectacular facility was made possible by the support of 225 dedicated brothers who have contributed $1,618,659 to the Building for the Next 100 Years campaign. 14% OF ALUMNI HAVE GIVEN We are extremely grateful for the response of these generous donors, representing 14% of our alumni. More brothers are needed to raise the remaining $381,341 to reach our $2 million fundraising goal. Our house is complete, but we need more pledges to appropriately finance the cost. YOUR GIFTS ARE STILL NEEDED We need new pledges to make the entrance area as elegant and distinctive as the exterior! The interior view from the front door is everybody's first impression. The bronze Pi Kappa Phi seal is complemented by marble stairs, marble floor, towering marble mantel with fraternity crest, and an antique gold chandelier. Paying for these features and buying furniture for the entryway/ parlor requires another $122,000. Please do your part to make our fraternity house exceed all others! MEMBERS WORK TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT The Omicron Club board is very active in protecting the fraternity house, our mutual "investment" and emotional focal point of our common bond. The active chapter members are good stewards who care about its condition. They are already utilizing the facility to ensure an outstanding fall pledge class. We extend sincere thanks to the brothers whose pledges created the new house. If you have not contributed, please do so now! There are two things which any brother can do now to finish the job: 1. Talk to other brothers and encourage them to participate. 2. Pledge or extend your pledge for the next five years. We need your help to complete this project! Fraternally, Emmett Dendy '46 Honorary Campaign Chairman Steve Trimmier '63 Campaign Committee Chairman Website For the latest on Omicron Chapter or to make a gift, visit http://uapikappaphi.com. We still need your help to complete the entryway of our new home. Consider making a gift for the first time or extending your pledge.
