Main, Quartzsite (across from McDonald's) Gosar holds Easter card competition for youth Congressman Paul Gosar's offi ce is holding an Easter card competi- tion this year, which is open to all children ages 8-13. The cards must consist of free-hand art and be on paper no larger than 8.5"x11". The deadline for submission is March 28th and the winner will be an- nounced April 7th. Congressman Gosar will have lunch with the winner and his or her parents, teacher, and principal at the winner's school. Beginning April 22nd, Quartzsite Town Council meetings will be again held at 7pm. The council approved the time change at their March 11th regular meeting. Coun- cil meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at Town Hall, 465 N. Plymouth. Meetings were changed in 2011 from 7pm at night to 9 am. The time change came after cred- ible threats were made to council members, Town Hall and then Police Chief Jeff Gilbert following Jennifer Jones arrest at the June 28th, 2011 council meeting video that went viral. The time change was to be temporary, but previous council members chose to continue with morning meetings. Council meetings to be moved to 7pm Free webinar for school board candidates Arizona School Boards Association(ASBA), a non-partisan, non-profi t organiza- tion that provides leadership and assistance to public school governing boards statewide, is hosting free informational webinars in March and April on the basics of board service and what it takes to run. Individuals who are consider- ing running are encouraged to participate in one of the three webinars.
