Fred O. Elliot '43 reports that at the age of
94 he is playing the trumpet in the Greensboro
Big Band in North Carolina and in various jam
sessions. He and his wife, Jeannine, reside in

Nicholas H. Booth Jr. '47 and his late wife, Jean,
have three children: Richard, Debra, and Diane.
He was co-editor and co-author for 35 years
of several editions of a 1,227 page textbook,
Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics,
translated into several languages and used
by students and veterinarians world-wide.
Nicholas had a campus road named after him at
Colorado State University in 2010. He resides in
Jacksonville, Fla.
Freeman "Pete" Lehman '50 is 88 years old
and is "still going and enjoying life." He shares
that he is pleased to see SAE reborn at Michigan

Graham C. Schadt '52 has lived in Arlington,
Texas, since 1956. He worked in real estate
development and construction. He married wife,
Polly, in April 1953. They have five children:
Karen, Jeff, Greg, Mary, and Lyle, as well as
11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The
couple has a summer retreat on Lake Michigan
at Hager Township.

Frederick E. Sternkopf '59 and his wife,
Beverly, have two children, Kristin and Peter.

Peter H. Moore '65 lives in Thousand Oaks,
Calif., with his wife of 40 years, Jean. They have
two sons, Kevin and Brian. Peter reports that

Hugh S. Harper '66 resides in Franklin, Tenn.,
and has three children: Gillian, Matthew, and
Sandy. He spent his summer and fall in Nova
Scotia, Canada, and contemplates why he didn't
make the football team in 1962.
Steve R. Howard '71 and his wife, Diana, have
one son, Brett. The couple resides in Franklin,
Mich. Steve sold his group of manufacturing
companies, Spearhead Automated Systems and
Frimo USA, and is now the chairman of the board
for the Beaumont Health System, a quarterly and
tertiary regional health system headquartered in
Royal Oak, Mich. They are currently creating
a new model heath system ($7 billion and 10
hospitals) with the Henry Ford Health System.
