The Tennessee Nu Review 4 TENNESSEE NU CONTINUES TO GROW AND SUCCEED Chapter Shines in Recruitment, Academics, and Philanthropy B rothers at Tennessee Nu continue to be leaders on all levels at Vanderbilt. We strive for excellence on all levels—academics, philanthropy, and campus leadership. This year, we had members on the executive boards of the InterFraternity Council, the Nicaragua Project, Manna Project, Programing Board, Entrepreneurial Society, Dance Marathon, Kickoff Cook-off, the undergraduate advisory board, and the senior class fund committee. CHAPTER EARNS HIGHEST GPA Internally, the chapter is proud of earning the highest GPA of any large fraternity on campus last semester. We welcomed 27 new members after recruitment in the fall, who are going through the pledging process. We also celebrated success in intramurals, bringing home the softball intramural championship. With a lot of young talent, we expect another championship in 2014. BROTHERS GIVE BACK TO VANDERBILT COMMUNITY We continue our monthly visits to Fannie Battle Day Home for Children. On top of this, the chapter raised enough money last fall to purchase a Christmas gift for every young boy at the daycare. It was a lot of fun to get to know these kids over the past few years, and brothers had a great time wrapping and delivering the presents to their Christmas party. GRADUATES LOOK TO FUTURE With the end of the semester in sight, some of our brothers are preparing for graduation. Our graduating seniors will be moving all over the country next year starting at top consulting firms, medical schools, investment banks, and law schools. We wish these brothers the best of luck in their future endeavors and look forward to their involvement as alumni. On behalf of our chapter, I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of the alumni and parents for your extremely generous donations to the capital campaign. It is through your enormous support that Tennessee Nu continues to grow and succeed. He is glad to see the chapter maintaining traditions when he visits the chapter house for football games and Homecoming. "The quality of members remains outstanding, and the fraternity remains the strongest on campus in terms of social life, academic achievement, and community involvement." Adam lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Kathryn, who was a Tri Delta at Vanderbilt. He enjoys traveling and takes many trips with his SAE brothers, including ski trips, Las Vegas excursions, and road trips to Vanderbilt football games. Contact Adam at adam.kay@ml.com.
